THE TOOLS YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
In 3-5 sentences, explain why your idea is as fabulous as you know it is. This is your chance to make your campaign shine. In this section, it’s helpful to be detailed as possible with what your campaign entails, why your audience would need it, and how you plan to go about bringing this idea to life once funded.
ADD PHOTOS & VIDEOS
Upload any photos or video you have explaining or demonstrating your campaign.
Give yourself time to prepare a high-quality photograph for your campaign’s thumbnail, as it’s the first thing a person sees when they visit your campaign’s page.
Videos are another great addition to your campaign page. They often receive the most positive response and are a much more engaging way to share your story and connect with your audience. We know it can feel daunting to take on a photo or a video shoot, but there are some great apps and sites, so do a little digging and you’ll find great resources to help you with this.
1.) Research shows people get much more information from photos than text. Add pictures to brighten up your page and speed up your delivery. Add pictures of the campaign’s progress to date, of yourself/your team.
2.) Get feedback after you save your draft campaign, but before you submit it for approval. A few people will help you catch a lot of problems in advance, and while you’re at it, get commitments to contribute on day one.
You’ve already used your campaign page to explain what you’re doing and why you’re the best person to bring this idea to life. Now, share that message with your social networks!
When you share your campaign page with your inner circle, your inner circle will contribute and post your page on social media, thus reaching their friends, who will in turn “like” your campaign , contribute and repost it. Your campaign will reach friends of friends, who will also “like”, contribute and repost, extending the outreach to a much broader community.
Extend Your Reach
Once your campaign is posted and well on its way to be funded, continue to keep your supporters updated on your campaign, and encourage new people to check out your page.
Ask your friends and family to share your iartsfund.org page with their friends and family as well to broaden its reach.
When the campaign is almost entirely funded, send out a “last opportunity to contribute” email.
When the campaign is funded, don’t forget to send a thank-you email to all your supporters.
